Juan Lopez-Valcarcel is a digital executive with extensive experience in the digital transformation of Telecoms, Media, Education and Healthcare companies. He was the co-founder of the first local web portal in Spain in 1996 and then joined Booz Allen as a consultant, working on over 20 product and technology transformation projects in the US and Europe. In 2007, Juan joined NBC Universal in New York as GM in their Digital team. In 2010, he was recruited by Pearson plc in London, where he worked as Chief International Digital Officer. Most recently, he co-founded and listed Gloo Networks plc, a technology investment fund based in London.
Juan is also a Trustee of BUPA (Healthcare group), an angel investor in Traity.com (Fintech startup) and an advisor to Bridge-U (Education startup). He holds a double degree in Corporate Law and Economics from ICADE (Spain) and an MBA from INSEAD (France).
