Sports: Beyond Broadcast –
New Digital Platforms That Are Changing The Game

LEARN – SHARE – NETWORK
The CDO Summit is the premier event for digital & data leaders:

    March 15, 2017  |  Sydney, Australia
   April 26-27, 2017  |  New York, USA
     June 28-29, 2017  |  Washington DC, USA

How are new digital services and platforms “changing the game” when it comes to delivering, consuming, and engaging with sports?

The Sydney CDO Summit “Sports” Panel will explore how new platforms and services such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Twitter, Snapchat, live streaming, and others are affecting today’s programmers, content, and partners, as well as their audience, participation, viewership, and engagement.

The session will be moderated by Rebecca Reed, Partner for Sports, Gaming, and Entertainment at premier global executive search firm, Odgers Berndtson.

Among her other high-level searches, Ms. Reed is currently looking for a new CEO for the Australian Olympic Committee, the National Committee responsible for developing, promoting, and protecting the Olympic Movement in Australia.

Panelists include:

  • Rebecca Reed (moderator): Partner – Sports, Gaming & Entertainment at Odgers Berndtson
  • Colin Smith: Managing Director at Global Media and Sports
  • David Ray: Former Director of Audiences & Growth, Australia at Twitter
  • Rebekah Horne: Chief Digital Officer at National Rugby League
  • Shane Mattiske: Managing Director, ANZ, Nielsen Sports at Nielsen

We’re delighted to have Rebekah Horne, Chief Digital Officer at the National Rugby League, back to the Sydney CDO Summit to join her colleagues on this panel.

At last year’s Sydney CDO Summit, Ms. Horne won the CDO Club’s inaugural “ANZ CDO of the Year 2016” award for her work as Chief Digital Officer at Network Ten.

The CDO Club will announce the 2017 ANZ Chief Digital Officer and Chief Data Officer of the Year award winners at the conclusion of this year’s Sydney Summit.

Joining Rebecca and Rebekah on the panel will be executives from Twitter, Nielsen, and Global Media and Sports. It promises to be an informative and interesting panel. And that’s just one session.

The full
agenda can be found here. As usual, we’ve curated an incredible programme featuring digital and data leaders from both the public and private sector.

Last year’s Sydney CDO Summit sold out weeks early, in keeping with our sold-out summits in New York City (our 5th year) and London (our 3rd year).

The Pier One venue has limited seating, so be sure to register now.
