In 2010, David Mathison observed that CDO hires were ramping up dramatically, and garnering lucrative salaries at some of the world’s most prestigious organizations.
Yet no one was addressing the rapid growth of this important new title.
No one, that is, except Dave Aron at Gartner. So Mathison’s first phone call, prior to starting the CDO Club in 2011 or the first-ever CDO Summit in NYC in 2013, was to Dave Aron in London.
Dave Aron spent more than 12 years at Gartner, as a Gartner Fellow, focusing on strategy and CIO leadership issues. He was the one of the first analysts to cover the importance of Chief Digital Officers, Chief Data Officers, and Chief Information Security Officers in the enterprise.
Dave Aron is now Global Research Director for Leading Edge Forum, where he guides a series of global research initiatives aimed at helping CIOs, CDOs, CISOs, and other Business/IT leaders re-imagine their organizations and leadership for a tech-driven future.
It is only fitting that the opening keynote at the upcoming DC CDO Summit will be delivered by Dave Aron, Global Research Director at Leading Edge Forum, on “Winning in the 21st Century.“
