Data will drive the second part of the day, beginning with a keynote from Cindy Forbes, EVP & Chief Analytics Officer at Manulife on “Manulife’s Analytics Journey“. Manulife established the CAO role 18 months ago to bring together the advanced analytics teams across the company and create a data and analytics strategy for the company. Forbes will share her journey in the creation of the function and where the function is going.
Next up is the “Mining Real Value From Your Data Lake” panel led by Mike Stone, Global Technology Director at Thomson Reuters. Panelists include, Dmitry Baev, Director, Solutions Engineering at Hortonworks; and Vsu Subramanian, VP, Enterprise Data Services at Thomson Reuters. The panel will talk about how data lakes can help in reducing the time and cost of access to the enterprise’s content for analytics and new product development.
After lunch David Corrigan the CEO of AllSight will give a keynote on “Why The Status Quo Isn’t Good Enough: Reimagining The Customer 360“. He will explain how CDOs can use modern big data technology to create an intelligent Customer 360 to personalize an omni-channel experience.
Also in the afternoon there will be a fireside chat on “Building Globally Competitive AI in Toronto” between Candice Faktor, Partner at Faktory Ventures and Jordan Jacobs, Co-Founder & Co-CEO at Layer 6 AI. The agenda also includes a keynote from Ash Fontana, Managing Director at Zetta Venture Partners on “Timing AI Adoption In Your Organization“
